Zephyr Gets A Little Silly

Travis Rivers

The motto of the Zephyr concert series reads “chamber music with an attitude.” The attitude for “Roit of Spring,” the Zephyr benefit at The Met Tuesday night is “whacky.” Playwright and author Louisa Rose has written a series of sketches that Zephyr’s director Kendall Feeney describes as “a sly and theatrical look at music and the people who make it.” Rose calls the evening “really silly” Feeney will be joined by 10 Spokane actors and musicians, directed by Jack Phillips, in an evening featuring among other things a time traveler, a professional lifestyle advisor and music ranging from Chopin and the blues to Rachmaninoff and “Moon River.”

A dessert buffet created by Karen Edwards will be served following the program.

The benefit performance begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday; tickets are $20, available through G&B Select-a-Seat.
