Children’S Chorus At Westminster

The Spokane Area Children’s Chorus will close out its season with concerts at 7:30 tonight and 3 p.m. Saturday at Westminster Congregational Church, 411 S. Washington.

The performance, titled “Sing Joy,” will include a variety of music ranging from popular showtunes to a song that pays tribute to victims of the Holocaust. Songs include “When You Wish Upon a Star,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” “When I am Silent” and “Inscription of Hope.” The younger children will also dance with umbrellas during their rendition of “Singin’ in the Rain.”

More than 180 singers have participated in the chorus’ 11th season. All children are between the ages of 7 and 17.

Tickets are $5 and $7, available in advance by calling the chorus office at 624-7992 and at the door.
