A man sought by police in connection with three methamphetamine labs discovered during the past several months was arrested Tuesday.

Martin A. Schorzman, 39, was booked into the Kootenai County Jail on a $10,000 arrest warrant after his arrest at unit 11 of the Cherry Ridge Apartments, 1053 Emma Avenue. Schorzman has been charged with three counts of manufacturing methamphetamine, state Criminal Investigations Bureau agents said.

Police also arrested Amber Phipps, claiming she was harboring a fugitive. Her children were taken into protective custody by the state Department of Health and Welfare.

Agents also plan to recommend prosecutors file felony child endangerment charges against Phipps. Officers believe Phipps dumped methamphetamine into a baby bottle in an attempt to hide the drug from police, said Wayne Longo, the state’s special agent in charge.

Longo said agents had been looking for Schorzman for several months.
