Monkeying Around

A baby tamarin holds on to a stuffed animal earlier this week at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo. A little more than 6 weeks old, the golden lion tamarin is one of three born to Goldilox and Burgundy, who are on loan from Brazil’s Department of the Environment. Zoo staffers are raising the baby until it is weaned and ready to rejoin its family. Tamarins are small South American marmosets having long, silky fur.
