A Fine ‘Best Man’

Romantic comedy-drama is never easy. But Malcolm D. Lee, writer-director of “The Best Man,” has two things going for him. One is a feel for dialogue and characterization that is authentic. The other is a cast, led by Taye Diggs (above), Nia Long, Morris Chesnut and Harold Perrineau, so talented that it could make a Pepsi commercial seem like Shakespeare.
