First quarter

Rian Lindell 25-yard field goal. Four plays, minus 2 yards, 1:40. Anthony Matthews got around the right side and blocked Kurtis Doerr’s punt deep in Oregon territory. But with the ball on the 6-yard line the Cougars went backwards and were forced to kick the field goal.

Derien Latimer 28-yard pass from Joey Harrington. Josh Frankel kick. Six plays, 65 yards, 2:49. Harrington was able to find the soft spots in the Cougar secondary and went to work with an 18-yard pass and then the touchdown to Latimer right across the middle.

Latimer 35-yard run. Frankel kick. Eight plays, 81 yards, 5:01 . On a fourth and 1 at the 35, the Cougars’ Jesse Ratcliff could not wrap up Latimer as he busted through the line and into a wide open field.
