Mildred Glover Seattle
Service for Mildred L. Glover, 85, will be today at 2 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Glover, who died Tuesday, was born in Madison, Wis.
She lived in the Coeur d’Alene and Hayden Lake areas for 28 years and was a homemaker. She moved to Seattle in 1991.
Mrs. Glover was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ninth Ward in Seattle.
Her husband, Charles, died in 1988.
Survivors include a son, Carl Gagey of Seattle; a stepdaughter, Shirley Bellrichard of Wisconsin; a sister of Wisconsin; and six grandchildren.
Vina Elliott Spokane
Service for Vina V. Elliott, 78, is planned for 2 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Elliott, a 47-year Spokane resident, died Tuesday. She was born in Leland, Idaho.
She worked as a waitress.
Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Grad’s Club.
Her husband, Welden Elliott, died in 1993.
Survivors include a brother, Austin Blankenship of Spokane.
Theodore Richter Spokane
Memorial service for Theodore “Teddy” Richter, 56, will be at 2 p.m. today at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Sioux City, Iowa, Mr. Richter died Tuesday. He was a 10-year Spokane resident.
Mr. Richter was a senior industrial electrician for Rockwell International in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and of Audubon Park Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Linda Richter; two sons, Shane and Travis Richter, both of Spokane; four daughters, Jeanne Ashlock of Spokane, Paula Conley of Sioux City, and Page and Melony Richter, both of Akron, S.D.; a sister, Cecelia Hood of Spokane; a brother, Bob Richter of Sioux City; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morning Star Boys Ranch.
George Schmitz Spokane
Funeral Mass for George A. Schmitz, 81, will be at 9 a.m. today at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Neb., Mr. Schmitz died Tuesday. He was a resident of Spokane for 48 years.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and received the Distinguished Flying Cross.
Mr. Schmitz was a bartender.
He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Airway Heights.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen; two sons, James Schmitz of Spokane and Stephen Schmitz of Mount Vernon, Wash.; a daughter, Sheila Perkins of San Diego; a brother, Frank Schmitz of Escondido, Calif.; a sister, Clara Rutten of Cedar Rapids; and three grandchildren.
Stacy Smith Spokane
Graveside service for Stacy E. Smith, 74, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at Millwood Presbyterian Church. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Everett, Mr. Smith died Tuesday. He came to Spokane as a child.
Mr. Smith was a nose gunner in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He worked as a foreman for Kaiser Trentwood and was with the company for 37 years.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Valley Eagles Lodge.
His wife, Mildred, died in 1991.
Survivors include four daughters, Cheri Korbel and Brenda Huynh, both of Spokane, Jackie Bryant of Vancouver, Wash., and Kathy Kolahi-Koocheki of Londonderry, N.H.; a son, Carlton “Herkie” Smith of Spokane; a brother, Marvin Smith of Spokane; a sister, Catherine Graf of Spirit Lake, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Cecile Donovan Coeur d’Alene
No service will be held for Cecile M. Donovan, 93, at her request. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Donovan, who was born in Ohio, died Monday.
She married Roy Donovan in 1926 and was a homemaker. She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1992 from Alaska.
Her husband died in 1957.
Survivors include a daughter, Verla Morris of Coeur d’Alene; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
David `Herb’ Leighty Spokane
Memorial gathering for David “Herb” Leighty, 70, will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Fairwood Retirement Village. Private inurnment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Leighty, who died Monday, was born in Columbia Falls, Mont.
He received a master’s degree in agronomy science from Montana State College in 1956. Mr. Leighty served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a resident of Spokane for 20 years and worked as a salesman for Cominco American Fertilizer Company for 33 years.
Mr. Leighty was a member of the Agriculture Bureau.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Gloria Leighty; four daughters, Janis Tenzler of Snohomish, Wash., Ann Leighty of Portland, Kristi Waymire of Zillah, Wash., and Susan Mescall of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sisters, Rubelle McPheeters and Betty Shook, both of Kalispell, Mont.; and five grandchildren.

Deloris Wellsandt Spokane
Memorial service for Deloris Z. Wellsandt, 78, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Village Chapel. There will be private inurnment. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 49-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Wellsandt died Nov. 9. She was born in Salem, Ore., She owned Gregory’s Market for seven years and worked as a cashier for The Crescent department store for 18 years.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Gerald Wellsandt; two sons, Gary Wellsandt of Spokane and Barry Wellsandt of Seattle; five daughters, Mary Jo Crawford of Spokane, Terry Blakely of Auburn, Wash., Sherril Griepp of Orange County, Calif., Peggy Nixon of San Francisco and Mary Hengen of Arizona; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ima Schuemaker Rockford
Private inurnment for Ima M. Schuemaker, 92, will be at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Schuemaker, who died Wednesday, was born in Rock City, Wash.
She was a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital and also did private duty and minor surgery nursing work.
In 1940 she moved to Seattle and worked at Washington Shipyard First Aid. Mrs. Schuemaker joined the Army Nurses Corps and served until the end of World War II.
She returned to Seattle and worked as an operating room nurse for several years. In 1970 she returned to Spokane and worked at Valley General Hospital. She retired in 1973.
She was a resident of Rockford for a total of 62 years.
Mrs. Schuemaker was a member of the Spokane Valley Senior Citizen Association and was the organization’s first secretary/treasurer. She was also active in the Opportunity Nutrition Program.
Her husband, D.L. Schuemaker, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Bertha Marlow and Betty Slinkard; three nieces and a nephew.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Valley Senior Citizens or the Salvation Army.
Marjorie Willey East Wenatchee, Wash.
Graveside service for Marjorie M. Willey, 91, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Valley (Wash.) Cemetery. Telford’s Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Valley, Mrs. Willey died Sunday.
She was a homemaker and moved to East Wenatchee five years ago.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Gladys Dale of East Wenatchee; a stepdaughter, Joy Willey of Newport, Ore.; two stepsons, Larry Story of Anacortes, Wash., and Bob Willey of Florence, Ore.; and a sister, Nina Fuller of Colville, Wash.
Muriel Elliott Hauser Lake, Idaho
Service for Muriel Elliott, 95, will be held later in Kent, Wash. English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Elliott, who died Tuesday, was born in Kent, Wash. She lived in Kent and worked tieing flies in the fishing/tackle industry. She moved to Hauser Lake five years ago.
Her husband, Merlin, died in 1984.
Mrs. Elliott is survived by a son, Gary Elliott of Hauser Lake; a daughter, Joanne Bayley of Kirkland, Wash.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

David Rideout Coeur d’Alene
A gathering for family and friends of David M. Rideout, 56, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at 9150 Ridgeline Lane. Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rideout, who was born in Los Angeles, died Monday from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Highway 95 near Plummer, Idaho.
He grew up in the Los Angeles area and graduated from Anaheim (Calif.) High School in 1961, where he had played football.
Mr. Rideout received a bachelor of arts degree from Orange Coast College in California and worked in material control and purchasing management in the computer and manufacturing industries.
In 1982 he married Terry Gallagher and the couple moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1993.
He was recently employed by Schweitzer Engineering Labs in Pullman, and also was a pastor and member of the Non-Denominational Church fellowship.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald Gallagher of Philadelphia and Shawn Gallagher of Walla Walla; a daughter, Amy Guest of California; two brothers, John Rideout of Alabama and Steven Rideout of Tacoma; three sisters, Joanne Brannen of California, and Clara Longendolff and Carol Guenther, both of Wenatchee; and six grandchildren.
Erna Woolery Granite Falls, Wash.
Memorial service for Erna E. Woolery, 87, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Park United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The American Memorial Association in Renton, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Spokane, Mrs. Woolery died Nov. 8.
She graduated from Spokane Valley High School and in 1944 married Jerry Woolery.
Mrs. Woolery operated a beauty shop out of her home.
She was a member of Liberty Park United Methodist Church and moved to Granite Falls five years ago.
Survivors include a son, Arthur Woolery, and four grandchildren.
Naomi Baugh Spokane
Service for Naomi Emma Baugh, 91, was Thursday at Audubon Park United Methodist Church.
Born in DeGonia Springs, Ind., Mrs. Baugh died Monday.
She taught kindergarten at Finch and Brown elementary schools for many years.
She was a 50-year Spokane resident and was a member of Audubon United Methodist Church, the Garden Club and the Inland Empire Arabian Horse Club. She also was active in the United Service Organization and the YMCA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Shepard Baugh.
Survivors include a son, Bradford Baugh of Nine Mile Falls, and four grandchildren.
Minnie Mackey Spokane
Memorial service for Minnie Linnea Mackey, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Raymond Road. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Hayward, Wis., Mrs. Mackey died Tuesday.
She was a 55-year Spokane resident and was a homemaker.
Survivors include four children, twins Janet Bockmier and James Mackey, and twins Jerry and Jay Mackey, all of Spokane; a sister, Helga McKimmey of Tucson, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
