Passing Returns Desales To Final

J.C. Biagi passed for 483 yards and Brian Hall scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 16 seconds remaining as DeSales advanced to the Class B-11 state championship for the fifth time in the 1990s with a 32-25 victory over Asotin Friday at Lampson Stadium in Kennewick.

DeSales (11-0) will go for its third straight state title next weekend at the Tacoma Dome against the winner of today’s Cathlamet-Mossyrock game in Tacoma.

Dusty Appleford returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown for Asotin (8-4).

Touchet junior running back Tim Wagoner rushed for 172 yards and four touchdowns as the defending Class B-8 state champion Indians defeated Colton 52-38 in a state semifinal game at Lampson Stadium.

The win was Touchet’s 23rd in a row, the longest current winning streak in the state, and puts the Indians (11-0) in the state title game against Neah Bay (10-0) Dec. 3 at the Tacoma Dome.

Neah Bay defeated Clallam Bay 56-6 at the Tacoma Dome in the other semifinal game.
