Deon Burnett 12-yard scoring run, Rian Lindell kick. Four plays, 80 yards, 1:10. The Cougars opened up with a reverse pass from Paul Mencke to Nian Taylor for 28 yards. Steve Birnbaum added a 27-yard pass to Marcus Williams. A late hit put the Cougars at the 12-yard line.

Taylor 59-yard pass from Birnbaum, Lindell kick. Two plays, 58 yards, :50. After Burnett lost a yard on the first play, Birnbaum found Taylor all alone on streaking down the sideline.
