Halogen Torchiere Lights Can Be Traded For Discount

Kootenai County residents who have halogen torchiere lights can turn them in and receive safer lights for a discount later this month.

Kootenai Electric Cooperative along with fire departments from Hayden, Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Kootenai County will hold the Great Torchiere Turn-in from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 30 at Lake City High School.

New lights will be available for $20 to $45 with a $5 discount for each halogen torchiere turned in.

The fire departments and Kootenai Electric will also hold a safety demonstration at 10 a.m. Oct. 27.
