Free Art Program Slated In Post Falls
A free art program for children and teens will start off its fall season with a pumpkin decorating class Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Seltice Elementary School in Post Falls.
Art on the Edge, which is sponsored by the St. Vincent de Paul Society, invites anyone between the ages of 6 and 14 to the class. Participants should bring a smock or other clothing that could get stained for a messy but creative pumpkin carving and decorating class. Organizers greatly encourage parents to stay and help, they said in a press release.
Art on the Edge regular classes, which also are free, will run the first three Thursdays of the month in November and December at the Post Falls Arts Council Building. That’s a change from Art on the Edge’s original schedule.
There will be two classes each day: one from 4 to 5 p.m. and one from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Space is limited to 15 per class, and pre-registration is encouraged. Call Ali Shute at (208) 773-1725 or Linda Seed at (208) 777-8938 for more information or to volunteer.
The schedule of classes is as follows: Nov. 4, 11, 18, Dec. 2, 9, 16, Feb. 3, 10, 17, March 2, 9, 16, April 13, 20, 27, and May 4, 11 and 18.
The November topic is ceramics and the December topic is “A Holiday Surprise.”
