Tom Day Spokane
No services will be held for Tom E. Day, 92, at his request. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane-area resident, Mr. Day died Sunday. He was born in Diamond Lake, Wash.
He owned and operated Tom E. Day Optical for several years.
His wife, Audree, preceded him in death.
Mr. Day is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Wilma Jacobsen Colville, Wash.
Funeral for Wilma A. (Rasmusen) Jacobsen, 83, will be at 2 p.m. today at Danekas Funeral Home in Colville.
Mrs. Jacobsen, who was born in Bossburg, Wash. died Monday.
She graduated from high school in Colville in 1934 and later graduated with teaching certificate from Cheney Normal School.
Mrs. Jacobsen taught in Fruitland, Wash., for two years, and in Mill Creek and Kohlotus, Wash., for a few years.
She moved to Castle Rock, Wash., where she taught elementary school for a few years before teaching in Wilbur, Wash.
In 1946 Mrs. Jacobsen began working for the Stevens County Auditor’s Office making Photostats of various documents. In 1950 she was named clerk of the board. In 1970 she began working in the accounting department, and she retired in 1981.
Mrs. Jacobsen was a member of the Stevens County Improvement Club, Rebekah Lodge, Soroptimists and Colville Eagles Auxiliary 2797.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Leon Jacobsen.

Nathan Yeager Spokane
Memorial service for Nathan L. Yeager, 74, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home.
A 63-year Spokane resident, Mr. Yeager died Aug. 26. He was born in Rosepine, La.
He served with the Army Air Corps for two years during World War II.
Mr. Yeager worked as a truck driver for several years at United Paving Co. He later worked for MacAtee and Heathe Paving before retiring in 1977.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Madelene; four sons, James Muse of Ford, Wash., Monty Dyer of Anacortes, Wash., Jerry Yeager of Pismo Beach, Calif., and Rex Yeager of Juneau, Alaska; two daughters, Mona Moles of Cusick, Wash., and Corine Yeager of New Mexico; a brother, Paul Yeager of Deep Lake, Wash.; two sisters, Margaret Johnson of Spokane and Frances Chandler of Mississippi; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mary Rothgeb Spokane
Memorial service for Mary A. (Petefish) Rothgeb will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 41-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Rothgeb died Sunday. She was 75.
She was born in Kansas City, Mo., where she graduated from Central High School in 1941.
Mrs. Rothgeb was a homemaker and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Victory Chapter 161, Opportunity Christian Church, Women of the Water Power and the Spokane Valley Eagles React Club.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Roy; a son, Ken Rothgeb of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Martha Bliesner of Veradale and Linda Dehart of Yakima; a sister, Geraldine Huff of Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Itha Moran Bellingham
Service for Itha A. Moran, 93, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Plummer (Idaho) Congregational Church. Burial will follow at the Plummer City Cemetery. Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moran, who was born in Tekoa, Wash., died Tuesday.
She and her husband, James, had owned a family restaurant in Plummer for several years. She was a member of the Tillicum Rebekah Lodge and was a state officer three times.
Mrs. Moran was active with the World War I Auxiliary and made quilts as a volunteer at the City of Hope organization in Coeur d’Alene.
She recently moved to Highland Convalescent Center in Bellingham.
Her husband died in 1984.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Baughman of Bellingham; four brothers, Harold Willard of Yuma, Ariz., Bill Willard of Plummer, Don Willard of Kennewick and Roland Willard of Ocean Park, Wash.; three sisters, Ellen Dretke of Caldwell, Idaho, Vivian Fothergill of Spokane and Rose Sawyer of Longview, Wash.; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Willis Muncey Spokane
Burial for Willis S. Muncey, 86, was held Wednesday in Farmington, Wash.
A 65-year Spokane resident, Mr. Muncey died Saturday. He was born in Richland.
He served in the Army for a few years, and in 1935 he was stationed at Geiger Field.
Mr. Muncey worked as a mail carrier for the Post Office for several years. He retired in 1966.
He was a member of Northview Bible Church.
His wife of 59 years, Dorothy, died in 1997.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Willis Muncey Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Lavere Shurtleff of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Jean Osborn of Tacoma and Berthel Compton of Bellevue, Wash.; 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.

Peggy (Felix) Church Tustin, Calif.
Memorial service for Peggy (Felix) Church, 51, was held Saturday at the Kingdom Hall for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Tustin, Calif.
A 20-year former Spokane resident, Mrs. Church died Aug. 29.
She born in Wausau, Wis., and recently moved to Tustin.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Ken; two sons, Joseph and Aaron Christensen, both of Spokane; two daughters, Aileen Pirolo of Newman Lake and Chris Peters of Atlanta; her parents, John and Beverly Felix of Cucamonga, Calif.; a brother, Gary Felix of Jerome, Ariz.; a sister, Carol Coleman of Ontario, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Charles Deich Kettle Falls, Wash.
Funeral for Charles Glenn Deich, 90, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Colville, Wash. Private burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery in Marcus, Wash. Danekas Funeral Home in Colville is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Deich, who was born in Vernon, Ind., died Saturday.
He worked as a dairy deliveryman for several years in the Portland area and moved to Kettle Falls in 1976.
His wife, Frieda, died in 1962.
Mr. Deich is survived by his brother, Lyman Deich of Medford, Ore.
James `Bud’ Bass Spokane
Memorial service for James H. “Bud” Bass, 70, will be at 11 a.m. today at Christ Lutheran Church. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 39-year Spokane resident, Mr. Bass died Monday. He was born in Leachville, Ark.
He worked as a salesman for Joey August Distributors for several years. He retired in 1988.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He also coached basketball in the Spokane Valley Church league and for the Spokane Cyclones Wheelchair basketball team.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Julie; two sons, James Bass of Veradale and Jon Bass of St. John, Wash.; three daughters, Christi Parman and Gwen Dutt, both of Spokane, and Sandy Lidell of Post Falls; two sisters, Joann Baker and Peggy Cash, both of Missouri; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Dominic `Nick’ Gray Spokane
Funeral for Dominic A. “Nick” Gray will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Gray died Sunday. He was 29.
He graduated from Rogers High School in 1988 and served in the Army from 1989-1991.
He graduated from Spokane Community College in 1996 with a degree in law enforcement.
Mr. Gray began working as a driver for Murphy Bros. in 1996.
He was a member of Rho Beta Psi and Teamster Union Local 690.
Survivors include two sons, Taylor Gray of Spokane and Dakota Gray of Seattle; his father, Dennis Dumaw of Spokane; a brother, Dennis Dumaw of Spokane; two sisters, Tommi Melcher of Spokane and Crystal Gray-Obermarck of Shelton, Wash.; and his grandmother, Carmela Goforth of Spokane.
Robert Shrader Beaverton, Ore.
Visitation for Robert Shrader will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mr. Shrader, who was born in Sioux Falls, S.D., died Sunday. He was 64.
He served in the Air Force and was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base.
Mr. Shrader graduated from Eastern Washington College.
He worked at Old National Bank in the data processing department for a few years. He was transferred to Portland in 1988.
Mr. Shrader later worked as a systems analyst for Pacific Crest Technology in Lake Oswego, Ore.
Survivors include a son, David Shrader of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter, Barbara Shrader of Spokane; three brothers, James and Jerry Shrader, both of Spearfish, S.D., and Melvin Shrader of Mesa, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Doris (McKee) Stiles Davenport, Wash.
Funeral for Doris M. (McKee) Stiles was held Thursday at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport. Vault burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Harrington, Wash.
Mrs. Stiles, who was born in Bluestem, Wash., died Tuesday.
She graduated from Davenport High School in 1939.
Mrs. Stiles married G. Francis Stiles in 1943. He died in 1974.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Davenport. She also was a member of the Bluestem Grange and Lincoln County Pomona Grange and was a seventh-degree member of the National Grange.
Survivors include a son, Gerry Stiles, and a sister, Lois Mecklenburg, both of Davenport; and three grandchildren.
