Crowell Steps Up
The split-second Lions second-year receiver Germane Crowell realized Pro Bowl teammate Herman Moore wasn’t getting off the Kingdome carpet Sunday afternoon without aid, he knew his workload had instantly multiplied.
“When Herman went down, I think I realized that someone was going to have to step up and make some plays,” said Crowell, who caught touchdown passes of 16-and 41 yards. “But everyone got more focused and made plays.”
But it was Crowell, the lone wide receiver to haul in a pass, who delivered a solid relief performance in the Lions’ 28-20 upset victory over the Seahawks.
