Madison, Parker Lead Cheney

BORDER LEAGUE

Jeremy Parker had a walk in the park Friday night at Medical Lake.

Parker rushed for 146 yards on 10 carries, caught four passes for 63 yards, and added an interception in Cheney’s 28-13 non-league win.

Cheney’s Aaron Madison completed 13 of 15 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown to Parker. Three more of his passes, to Ben Woodard, accounted for 62 yards.

The Cardinals were held to 103 rushing yards, 59 for Alexis Alexander. Medical Lake traded off quarterbacks, as Jeremiah Johnson and Charlie Berryhill combined for 115 passing yards.

Lake City soaks WV

Lake City definitely wasn’t run of the mill, logging 314 rushing yards in a 41-14 win at West Valley. Brandon Mills had 16 carries for 120 yards and one TD, and Doug Blaty added eight carries for 101 yards and two TDs. The Timberwolves finished with 447 total yards… . Doug Malar of Post Falls rushed for four TDs of 10 yards or shorter to guide a 26-20 win at Colville. The Indians attempted a fourth-quarter rally, with two TD passes from Ryan Bradeen to Brandan Bassett… . Steve Jackson, Carl Roubicek and Brandon Delewese combined for 352 rushing yards, and Sandpoint overcame a 9-0 third-quarter deficit to defeat Clarkston 28-17 in the 39th Shriners doubleheader at Moscow. Clarkston running back Travis Howell caught two TD passes in the second half… . Junior Paul Ziegler rushed for 163 yards on 31 carries as Coeur d’Alene rallied for a 34-20 win over Moscow in the second game of the Shriners event. Moscow has twice lost 34-20, both times after leading 20-14 at halftime.
