Sun Microsystems Inc. unveiled a 2-for-1 stock split, its second split this year, as shares of the fourth-largest maker of server computers have more than tripled in the past 12 months. Shareholders as of Nov. 11 will receive two Sun shares for each one held, payable on or about Dec. 7.

John Bogle, legendary founder and senior chairman of mutual fund giant Vanguard Group, agreed to step down Friday despite winning an exemption from a company policy that requires directors to retire after they turn 70. Vanguard chief executive and chairman John Brennan will succeed Bogle.

DaimlerChrysler AG is recalling 717,000 cars and trucks to fix parts that could crack or break. The company said it would recall 1993-1995 Chrysler Concorde, LHS and New Yorker and Dodge Intrepid sedans - about 645,000 vehicles - to fix engine cradle control arm brackets.

Pizza Hut Inc., the nation’s largest pizza chain, began test-marketing a 50-cent delivery charge last week at 10 of its Dallas-Fort Worth area outlets, as well as a few others around the country.
