Power Shutdown Scheduled Monday

A planned power outage Monday will affect about 500 Kootenai Electric Cooperative customers in the Post Falls area.

The outage will start at 2 p.m. and last five to 10 minutes. Residences that will be affected are south of Prairie Avenue on Highway 41 and those south of the Spokane River about one mile east of Greensferry Road.

The outage is necessary for improvements to Kootenai Electric’s transmission lines which feed the cooperative’s distribution system.
