Ann (Orndorff) Duke Spokane
No service will be held for Ann Elizabeth (Orndorff) Duke, 72. Mrs. Duke, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Sunday.
She was the daughter of attorney and former state Rep. C.A. Orndorff and the granddaughter of Spokane pioneer and state Sen. William R. Orndorff.
Mrs. Duke studied cello and sculpture at the University of Texas and attended The Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles.
She had played the cello in the Spokane Junior Symphony and with the early Spokane Symphony.
Mrs. Duke also made pottery and showed her work, including 29 years at Art on the Green in Coeur d’Alene. She was a member of the Cheney Cowles Museum, Spokane Junior League, and the Spokane Club.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Robert; two daughters, Phoebe and Alison, both of Spokane; a son, Robert of Seattle; her mother, Mrs. C.A. Orndorff; three sisters, Sue Gilmartin of Hayden Lake, Idaho, Kay Krutch of Bainbridge Island, Wash., and Grace Stuart of Houston; and a grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Symphony.
Evelyn (Dahl) Brice Grand Coulee, Wash.
Service for Evelyn (Dahl) Brice, 90, will be at 11 a.m. today at Zion Lutheran Church in Grand Coulee. Burial will follow at Spring Canyon Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brice, who was born in Catawba, Wis., died Tuesday.
Her family moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1926.
She worked as a secretary in Spokane for many years and married Frank Brice in 1935. They moved to Grand Coulee.
Mrs. Brice worked as a secretary to labor unions in Grand Coulee for 30 years.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Grand Coulee Dam Seniors.
Her husband died in 1995.
Survivors include two nieces, Patricia Van Trease of Worley, Idaho, and Lois Heim of Fargo, N.D.

Finis Goode Priest River, Idaho
Inurnment for Finis Lee Goode will be held at a later date in Oklahoma. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash. is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Goode, 70, died Monday. He was born in Ashland, Okla., and graduated from Poteau (Okla.) High School in 1947.
He worked in route sales for Weber’s Bakery in California. In 1971 he married Frances Brown. They lived in Orange County, Calif., for many years and moved to Priest River in 1977.
Mr. Goode was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Goode of Fair Oaks, Calif.; two daughters, Dianna Mellon of Chino, Calif., and Cindy Poulos of Glenpool, Okla.; a brother, Al Goode of Kelowna, British Columbia; and two grandchildren.
Warner `Jack’ Green Spokane
Graveside service for Warner “Jack” Green, 84, will be at 10 a.m. today at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 53-year Spokane resident, Mr. Green died Tuesday. He was born in Michigan.
He served in the Air Force during World War II. Mr. Green was a steelworker at Brown Trailer Co. for 32 years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Virginia; a daughter, Barbara Thompson; brothers and sisters in Missouri; and a grandson.
Mike Jensen Spokane
Graveside service for Mike R. Jensen, 47, will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Wilbur (Wash.) City Cemetery. Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home in Milton-Freewater, Ore., is in charge of arrangements.
A 13-year Spokane resident, Mr. Jensen died Monday. He was born in Wilbur.
After graduating from Coulee City (Wash.) High School he worked at the Hut Cafe in Coulee City. He also worked as a cook at Senor Guillermos Restaurant in Spokane for many years.
Survivors include a brother, Larry Jensen of Benton City, Wash.; and two sisters, Judy Harper and Pat Haskins, both of Spokane.
Grace Ingle Kendrick, Idaho
Memorial service for Grace Margaret Ingle, 89, will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow, Idaho,. Burial will follow at Wild Rose Cemetery near Kendrick.
Mrs. Ingle, who was born in Crystal, Idaho, died Saturday from congestive heart failure.
She graduated from Boise High School in 1928 and received a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Idaho in 1932.
Mrs. Ingle taught grades 1 through 12 at Lonestar School in Linville, near Moscow, for four years. In 1935 she married Gerald Ingle.
She lived on a farm on Big Bear Ridge near Kendrick and was a 4-H leader, teaching cooking, sewing and canning. She also volunteered at the Latah County Extension Program and was a member of their Happy Home Club, the Deary and Kendrick Granges and was scheduled to receive her 50-year pin from the Pomona Grange on Saturday. She was also a member of the Latah County Historical Society and the Kendrick United Methodist Church where she was active with women’s groups. Mrs. Ingle had been responsible for reviewing applicants for the George T. Warren Scholarship at UI, a scholarship for the disabled, named for her brother.
Her husband died in 1982.
Mrs. Ingle is survived by a daughter, Marjorie McBride of Idaho Falls; a son, Donald Ingle of New Jersey; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Clinton `Mack’ Howard Reardan, Wash.
Service for Clinton M. “Mack” Howard, 77, will be at 1 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
A 36-year Spokane resident, Mr. Howard died Monday. He was born in Texas.
He was a truck driver for 40 years and drove for Diamond International for 10 years before retiring.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Marilyn; two sons, Richard Howard of Davenport, Wash., and Kenneth Gaudin of Goldendale, Wash.; two daughters, Audrey Shotwell of Lampasas, Texas, and Elaine Nelson of Ogden, Utah.; three brothers, Joe Howard of Castleford, Idaho, Kenneth Howard of Littlefield, Texas and Kaylon Howard of Litchfield Park, Ariz.; a sister, Retha Eason of Castle Rock, Wash; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Everett McDaniel Hunters, Wash.
No service will be held for Everett McDaniel, 49. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Monroe, Ga., Mr. McDaniel died last Friday. His family moved to Spokane when he was a child.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator in pipeline construction.
Mr. McDaniel moved to Hunters in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; a son, Scott McDaniel of Newport, Wash.; a daughter, April Hurst of Oldtown, Idaho; a stepson, PJ Wilkes of Wasilla, Alaska; two stepdaughters, Quest Richard of Spokane and Tanya Rodabah of Kalispell, Mont.; his parents, Ellis and Joyce McDaniel of Spokane; a brother, Bobby McDaniel of Moscow, Idaho; two sisters, Sara Knott and Mary McDaniel, both of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
LaVerne Poirier Amery, Wis.
Service for LaVerne A. Poirier, 73, was Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Amery. Mr. Poirier, who was born in Bay Port, Minn., died Saturday.
He moved to Spokane in 1954 and worked as crane operator for Kaiser Aluminum. He retired in 1983.
He had lived in Amery since 1995.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph Poirier of Portland, Thomas Poirier of Balsam Lake, Wis., and Myrvin Poirier of Frederic, Wis.; five daughters, Jane Street of Panama City, Fla., Mary Bibeau of Balsam Lake, Julie GreenLee of White Bear Lake, Minn., Laurie Whitehead of Amery and Lisa Brihn of Bloomington, Minn.; two brothers, Gary Poirier of Sumner, Wash., and Elmer Poirier of St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Marjorie LeFevre of Seattle and Lois Chavez of St. Paul; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Richard McPeak Osburn, Idaho
Rosary and Funeral Mass for Richard Burton McPeak, 73, will be today at 11 a.m. at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McPeak, who died Tuesday, was born in Minnesota.
He graduated from high school in Miles City, Mont., and then served in the Navy on the USS Saratoga during World War II.
Mr. McPeak married Rayma Warren in 1958. They lived in Colorado before settling in Osburn in 1991.
He worked as a carpenter for Bunker Hill Mining Co. and previously worked for Boeing.
He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wallace and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
His wife died in 1998.
Survivors include four sons, Donald McPeak of Osburn, Duane McPeak of Athol, Idaho, Bernie McPeak of Phoenix and Jeff McPeak of Coeur d’Alene; two daughters, Donna Pritchard of California and Paula Henry of Colorado; two sisters, Delores Meuchels of Hamilton, Mont., and Donna McPeak of California; three brothers, Wayne McPeak of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Bill and Loran McPeak, both of California; his companion, Donna Rude; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Norman Dunn Spokane
Visitation for Norman Dunn, 56, will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Mount St. Michaels with rosary to follow. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount St. Michaels. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dunn, who died Tuesday, was born in Pittsburgh.
He served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964 and was stationed at Geiger Air Base. After being discharged from the Air Force, Mr. Dunn worked as a driver and warehouseman at B & B Distributors for 21 years. He retired in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; a son, Chris McCoy; three daughters, Tracy Adams, Kathy Taskey and Sue Wallender; five stepchildren, Kevin and Mike Cady and Christine, Tim and Greg Park; a brother, Les Dunn of Florida; two sisters, Colleen Lawley of Florida and Sylvia Anderson of Alabama; and 14 grandchildren.

Eleanor Perry Spokane
No service will be held for Eleanor E. Perry, 80, at her request. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
A 50-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Perry died last Friday. She was born Bemidji, Minn.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, John; two sons, Mark and Drew Perry, both of Spokane; a daughter, Leslie Sears of Calgary, Alberta; a brother, Tom Swinson of Park Rapids, Minn.; a sister, Florence Book of Spokane; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Marvel Tuttle Spokane
Visitation for Marvel L. Tuttle, 91, will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Newport (Wash.) Cemetery.
A 42-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Tuttle died Monday. She was born in Newport.
She worked as a waitress.
Her husband of 64 years, Asa Tuttle, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Naomi Owen of Seaview, Wash.; a sister, Mary Knapp of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
Veronica Grassl Moscow, Idaho
Rosary recital for Veronica Katherine Grassl, 98, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with burial at Moscow Cemetery. Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Uniontown, Wash., Mrs. Grassl died Wednesday.
She grew up in the ColtonUniontown area and attended Hall Country School. In 1921 she married Michael Grassl.
Mrs. Grassl farmed near Uniontown before moving to Oregon. She returned to the Moscow area in 1942 and was a cook at the Ursuline Convent for several years.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of St. Rita’s Guild, the Catholic Women’s League and the Royal Neighbors.
Her husband died in 1973.
Survivors include four sons, Harold Grassl of Moscow, Jerome Grassl of Uniontown, Lawrence Grassl of Caldwell, Idaho, and Dan Grassl of Post Falls; a daughter, Mildred Riedner of Colfax, Wash.; a sister, Hilda Cairy of Pullman; 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Earl Engle Deer Park
Service for Earl George Engle, a longtime Deer Park resident, was Wednesday at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Deer Park. Burial was at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Mr. Engle, who was born in Kevin, Mont., died Sunday. He was 86.
He moved to Deer Park in 1927 and owned Earl Tires in Deer Park since the 1950s. He retired in the 1990s.
He was a member of the Deer Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church and the Experimental Aircraft Association.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary; three sons, Earl Engle of Spokane, James Engle of Kirkland, Wash., and Danial Engle of Kona, Hawaii; four daughters, Christina Engle-Stowell of Port Ludlow, Wash., Penelope Sweem of Dupont, Wash., and Tamara Wetherell and Deborah Engle, both of Phoenix; a brother, Leo Engle, and two sisters, Florence Schmidt and Irene Panky, all of Spokane; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
