Hannah (Schneider) Wright, who was born Sept. 23, 1895 in Edmonton, Alberta, celebrated her 104th birthday Thursday.

She moved to the United States shortly after marrying Myron Ambrose Wright in 1912.

The couple adopted a son a few years after their marriage. Myron Albert Wright recently died in LaVerne, Calif., from lung cancer.

Mrs. Wright was a homemaker for most of her married life and also worked in a small restaurant in Hillyard. She is a former member of the Rebekah Lodge.

Her husband, who died in 1958, worked as a railroad conductor. They were active in Montana-area labor issues.

Mrs. Wright has lived at the Hillyard Plaza Apartments since it was built in 1973.

She attributes her longevity to happiness, hard work and perseverance.
