Bids To Be Opened On Milo Creek Work
Officials will open bids for the last phase of construction on the Milo Creek flood control project Thursday.
The work will complete the system of pipes and holding tanks that run from Wardner to the South Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River.
By Monday, 24 companies had expressed interest in the project. Project managers expect work to cost $3.3 million.
Flooding in 1997 blew out the decrepit underground channels that harnessed Milo Creek, contaminating numerous yards along the creek with mining waste.
