Don Bradfish Hayden, Idaho
Visitation for Don Edgar Bradfish, 58, will be held today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Hayden Chapel.
Mr. Bradfish, who was born in Flint, Mich., died Tuesday after a two-year battle with cancer.
He grew up in Mt. Morris, Mich, graduating from high school there, and served with the Air Force in Germany until 1965.
Mr. Bradfish married Sharon Evans in 1963 and the couple settled in Spokane in 1967, where he worked as a construction carpenter.
He later moved to Moses Lake and had worked at Hanford until the early 1980s.
His first marriage ended in the mid-1970s and he married Diane Scott in 1985.
Mr. Bradfish worked mostly in construction and was also a car salesman before moving to Spirit Lake, Idaho, in 1987.
He worked for Tom Addis Lake City Ford in Coeur d’Alene and moved to Hayden in 1998, where he was a member of the Hayden Lake Eagles Lodge.
Mr. Bradfish was active in outdoor recreating, and hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Patrick Scott and Jason Bradfish, both of Spokane, and David Bradfish of Hayden; a daughter, Carrie Moore of Spokane; his mother, Elizabeth Bradfish of Mt. Morris; a sister, Diane Shimmons of Mt. Morris; and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to a cancer charity of choice.
Betty Tirk Spokane
Graveside service for Betty M. Tirk, 76, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tirk, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Tuesday.
She worked in production for Snyder’s Bakery.
Mrs. Tirk was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America and the Eagles Lodge.
Her husband of 49 years, Leo, died in 1991.
Survivors include a son, Michael Tirk, and a daughter, Janice Lynch, both of Spokane; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morning Star Boys Ranch.
Gloria Kendal Spokane
Memorial service for Gloria Kendal, 76, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Kendal, who was born in San Francisco, died Sunday.
A resident of Spokane since 1954, she worked as a secretary at Kaiser Trentwood for 30 years.
Mrs. Kendal was a member of Alpha Iota Business Sorority.
Her husband, Bill, died in 1991.
Survivors include two daughters, Laurie Quinn and Donna Dunn; a son, Richard Lambert; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Sam Doll Spokane
No service will be held for Sam Doll, 83, at his request. Spokane Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Doll, who died Sunday, was born in Kingman, Kan., and had been a 15-year resident of Spokane.
He worked as a teacher and cabinetmaker in Billings, Mont., until 1955, and then owned and operated a candy business named Doll House Candies, also in Billings. He later returned to teaching and retired in 1984.
Mr. Doll moved to Spokane in 1985.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Agnes; a son, Sam Doll, and a daughter, Becky, both of Spokane; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Harold Leffel Spokane
Memorial service for Harold E. Leffel, 87, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Leffel was born in Joseph, Ore., and was a 70-year Spokane resident. He died Wednesday.
He was a former owner and president of Kinman Business College of Spokane.
Mr. Leffel was a member of the El Katif Shrine, Eagles Lodge and Spokane Central Lions Club. He was a board member of the Manito Golf and Country Club for more than 50 years and a board member of the Association of Independent Colleges and Schools. Mr. Leffel was a Dale Carnegie Ambassador.
He was the past president of the Washington State Junior Chamber of Commerce and a vice president of the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Leffel also was a past president of Spokane Toastmasters.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Mike Leffel of Davenport, Wash., and Pat Leffel of Post Falls; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

John `Jack’ Keck Twin Lakes, Idaho
Memorial service for John Dwight “Jack” Keck, 78, will be at 2 p.m. next Friday at the Spokane Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Hennessey-Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Keck, who was born in Spokane, died April 3.
He grew up in Spokane and attended West Valley High School. He served in the Army during World War II in Rome, the Arno, Southern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe during World War II.
Mr. Keck returned to the Spokane Valley after his military service and worked at Inland Empire Paper Mill until 1988, when he retired and moved to Twin Lakes.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores; three daughters, Jerilynn Keck of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Lauri and Trudi Keck, both of Los Angeles; and one grandson.
Lois Bangham Spokane
Memorial service for Lois Bangham, 74, will be today at 10 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.
Mrs. Bangham, who was born in Pinehurst, Idaho, died Sunday.
She grew up in Pinehurst and graduated from Kingston High School.
In 1964 she moved to Alhambra, Calif.
Mrs. Bangham married Rodney Bangham in 1966 and they moved to Spokane in 1972, where she was a homemaker, gardener and crochet artist.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Bob Stoffer of California; a brother, Ron Higgins of Hayden Lake, Idaho; two sisters, Joyce Branum of Texas and Lorene Masters of Arizona; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Joan `Jo’ Archer Spirit Lake, Idaho
A celebration of life for Joan Elizabeth “Jo” Archer, 75, will be held Saturday at noon at her home in Spirit Lake. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Archer, who was born in Omaha, Neb., died Wednesday.
She lived in San Diego before moving to Spirit Lake in 1999 to be near family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold.
Survivors include four sons, Edwin and Patrick Archer, both of Spirit Lake, and Michael and Jerry Archer, both of San Diego; a daughter, Jodi Fern of Grants Pass, Ore.; and 14 grandchildren.
Mike Peterson Spokane
Memorial Mass for Mike F. Peterson, 51, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Colbert. Inurnment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. The Neptune Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Peterson died Monday.
He married Veneta Sarsfield in 1968, and served in the Army from 1968 to 1971.
He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Jensen Distribution Services for 28 years.
Mr. Peterson was involved in the Boy Scouts of America for 18 years, and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Eagles Lodge and the Spokane Bicycle Club.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Stacey Peterson of Spokane and Laurie Crandall of Puyallup, Wash.; a son, Keith Peterson of Spokane; his mother, Frances Justice; two brothers, Bob Peterson of Deer Park and Dan Peterson of Republic, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

Robert Tarbox Sun City, Ariz.
No service will be held for Robert L. Tarbox, 74. Greer Wilson Funeral Home in Phoenix is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tarbox, who was born in Broadus, Mont., died April 1.
He joined the Navy in 1944 and was stationed at the Farragut Naval Base in Idaho for two years.
Mr. Tarbox moved to Spokane in 1947 and worked as a postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years.
He moved to Sun City in 1990.
Mr. Tarbox was a member of the Eagles and Elks lodges.
Survivors include his wife, Emma; two sons, Wayne Tarbox of Vancouver, Wash., and Dan Tarbox of Phoenix; a daughter, Sharon Lipton of Spokane; his mother, Mabel Tarbox; three brothers, Fred, Ray and Keith Tarbox; and eight grandchildren.
Milton Bonner Spokane
Service for Milton A. Bonner, 91, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.
Mr. Bonner, a lifetime resident of Spokane, died on Wednesday.
He served in the Navy from 1927 to 1931.
Mr. Bonner worked as a serviceman for several heating and air conditioning companies, and also worked as the operating engineer for the Davenport Hotel.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Wilma; two sons, Larry and Mike Bonner, and a daughter, Karen Robins, all of Spokane; a sister, Donna Franke, and two brothers, Kenneth and Johnnie Bonner, all of Spokane; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Cecil Gann Spokane
Memorial service for Cecil M. Gann, 68, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Gann, who was born in Bessemer City, N.C., died April 6 from cancer.
Mr. Gann served in the Air Force for six years.
He worked as a salesperson in the automotive industry, and had been a Spokane resident for 23 years.
Mr. Gann was a charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 7815.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; two sons, Mike Gann of Riverside, Calif., and Ron Gann of Portland; three stepdaughters, Karen, Vickie and Gail, all of Spokane; three stepsons, Garry Jensen of Bend, Ore., and Jeff and Mark Jensen, both of Spokane; a sister Laura Keys; two brothers, Olin Gann of Childress, Texas, and Jim Gann of North Carolina; and 14 grandchildren.
