Quilter Presenting Slide Show

An award-winning quilter and author, Carol Doak, will present a slide show called “One Quilter’s Journey” at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Mukogawa/Fort Wright Commons.

The event celebrates the 21st anniversary of the Spokane chapter of Washington State Quilters.

Doak is the author of several books on quilting and is widely published in quilting periodicals. She has won top awards in many national competitions and high marks from students, judges and editors for her expertise and clear technical style.

Best known for its October quilt show at the Spokane Convention Center, Washington State Quilters is the largest quilt guild in Washington.

Members are urged to bring membership cards, guild badges and friends. Nonmembers are charged a nominal fee for attending the presentation.
