Cry Baby, Cry

Held by collegiate sumo wrestlers, Minami Kudo, left, bursts into tears on her way to beating her opponent during the Nakizumo, or crying sumo contest, at Tokyo’s Sensoji Temple on Wednesday. Based on the saying “A baby cries more, grows better,” about 60 local babies under a year old tearfully competed with each other in the annual spring event, to promote happy and healthy growth.
