Springfest Blooming At Whitworth

Eight bands, many playing Christian music, will perform free shows Saturday at Whitworth College’s Springfest celebration.

The music begins at noon with rock band Sketchbang Fairwelle. Instrumental group The Brownies plays at 1:15 p.m., followed by gospel choir Angels with Attitude at 2:30 p.m.; Christian group Champion Birdwatchers at 3:45 p.m., Latin-funk hybrid Rubberneck at 5:15 p.m.; alternative Christian musician Mike Knott at 7:15 p.m.; rock band Five O’Clock People at 8 p.m.; and Christian pop group Switchfoot at 9 p.m.

Dance troupes and comedians will perform between the concerts. Springfest also features contests, raffles and a fun run. Check out www.whitworth.edu/springfest for more information.
