Kiwanis Club Selects Developer For Reserve
The Coeur d’Alene Kiwanis Club announced the selection of Shorewood Homes Inc. as the developer for a 40-acre subdivision Friday afternoon.
The land, located east of Ross Point Road, was approved to be rezoned from public reserve to residential by City Council earlier this month.
Shorewood Homes Inc. was chosen from a group of seven other developers under the condition that it will work closely with the neighbors and residents of Post Falls.
The decision is still tentative because the contract has not been finalized yet with the Coeur d’Alene developer, said Charlie Johnson, the project’s manager.
The club will take the money earned from selling the 40 acres to pay for a city park off the Spokane River. The rest of the money will go into an endowment that will benefit community groups and projects.
