Bicyclists Cited In Motorcycle Crash
Two bicyclists were hit by a motorcycle on U.S. Highway 95 south of Coeur d’Alene on Monday night.
Lindsay Taggart, 21, of Coeur d’Alene, and Karile Newby, 21, of Hayden Lake were heading south on Highway 95 near Mica Bay.
Around 7:20 p.m. the two tried to make a left turn.
Coeur d’Alene motorcyclist William Boyd also was heading south. He tried to avoid a crash with the women by moving around them and laying his Harley Davidson on the ground, ISP said.
Taggart and Newby were struck by the 61-year-old’s motorcycle as it was sliding to the ground. Both were wearing helmets.
All were taken to Kootenai Medical Center, where they were treated and released.
Taggart and Newby were given tickets for inattentive driving, ISP said.
