Thomas Wolsborn Odessa, Wash.
Visitation for Thomas L. Wolsborn, 53, will be from 8 to 10 a.m. today at Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa. Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Odessa Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wolsborn, who was born in Odessa, died Tuesday.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He taught school and coached in Echo, Ore., for five years before moving to Odessa.
Mr. Wolsborn had taught for 26 years in Odessa and had been teaching fifth grade for the Odessa School District. He coached basketball, football, baseball, tennis and soccer for 23 years.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign War and the Odessa Education Association. He was former president of the Washington State and National Education Association.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Myrna; two sons, Kurt Wolsborn of Odessa and Tom Wolsborn Jr. of Entiat, Wash.; and a sister, Karen McCluer of Vancouver, Wash.

Neil `Doc’ Blanchard Spokane
No service will be held for Neil B. “Doc” Blanchard, 79, at his request. Private burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. The Neptune Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Blanchard, who was born in Benkelman, Neb., died Tuesday.
He served in the Air Force during World War II, and moved to Spokane in the early 1960s.
He worked in construction for more than 45 years and was a member of Construction Workers Union Local 238.
His wife of 10 years, Irene, died in February.
Mr. Blanchard is survived by a sister, Marquietta Robinson of Fort Collins, Colo.
Marie (Duff) Harvey Cheney
Memorial service for A. Marie (Duff) Harvey, 65, will be at 3 p.m. Aug. 16 at Cheney Church of Christ. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Fromberg, Mont., Mrs. Harvey died Friday.
In 1956 she married Harold Harvey, and received a bachelor’s degree in music from Montana State University.
They moved to Cheney in 1958, where she taught music at Lakeland Village. She also taught piano to children in Cheney.
Mrs. Harvey later worked at Eastern Washington University for 22 years, including 18 with the department of management.
She was a member of Cheney United Church of Christ, the church choir and served on the church fellowship committee. She was also a member of the P.E.O.
Her husband died in 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Harvey of Ferndale, Wash., and David Harvey of Richland; two daughters, Julie Harris of Naches, Wash., and Sylvia Goodard of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Ronald Duff; and five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane or the American Cancer Society.
Opal (Loos) Sanderson Spokane
Memorial service for Opal Marie (Loos) Sanderson, 71, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sanderson, who was born in Bazine, Kan., died July 25.
Her family moved to MiltonFreewater, Ore., in 1943 from New Mexico.
She had been a 43-year Spokane resident and worked in the bakery at Albertson’s in Spokane.
Her husband, Dale, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Leland Sanderson of Naples, Italy; a daughter, Diana Gabel of Spokane; a sister, Ruby Adams of West Richland, Wash.; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Tammi Hite Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Tammi T. Hite, 33, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Living Hope Church in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hite, who was born in Mission Hills, Calif., died Sunday from injuries received in a motorcycle accident on Seltice Way near Coeur d’Alene.
She lived in Redding, Calif., prior to moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1992. She had studied education at North Idaho College Survivors include her husband, Anthony “Tony”; two daughters, Heathyr and Ashlee Hite, a son, Nickelus Hite, and two stepsons, Cody and Colton Hite, all of Coeur d’Alene; her mother and father, Carla Fergusson of Birch Bay, Wash., and Brock Fergusson of Palmdale, Calif.; a brother, Jason Fergusson, and sister, Rashelle Adey, both of Coeur d’Alene; and her grandparents, Earl and Virginia Fergusson, and Eugene and Gertrude Gidcumb, all of California.
Alfred Holdstock Coeur d’Alene
Private service for Alfred Norman Holdstock, 90, will be held at a later date. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Holdstock, who was born in Connecticut, died Saturday.
He was a merchant marine and lived in Lone Pine, Calif. He worked as a certified welder until retiring.
IN 1990 Mr. Holdstock moved to Athol, Idaho, and recently moved to Coeur d’Alene.
His wife, Esther, died in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Garrett Holdstock of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; a daughter, Pricilla Kasperson of Athol; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Harold Hauf Spokane
Service for Harold R. Hauf, 91, will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Burial will follow. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Billings, Mont., Mr. Hauf died Tuesday.
A 55-year Spokane resident, Mr. Hauf worked as a brakeman for the Northern Pacific Railroad.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sue; a son, Gene Hauf; two stepsons, Leo Stockston of Billings and Don Depree of Plains, Mont.; a stepdaughter, Leona Peuck of Spokane; a sister and two brothers, of Billings; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Bertha McLean Medical Lake
Visitation for Bertha M. McLean, 88, will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, and graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries.
Mrs. McLean, who was born in St. Maries, died Sunday.
She attended school in St. Maries, and married Henry McLean in 1932. They lived in Seattle and during World War II she worked for Boeing. She then moved to Post Falls, where she lived for more than 30 years.
Her husband died in 1969.
In 1999 Mrs. McLean moved to Medical Lake to be near family. She enjoyed gardening and raised cats.
Survivors include four nieces, Ellen Kuhlmann of Medical Lake, Cathy Williamson of Largo, Fla., Delores Ben of Salem, Ore., and Beverly Davis of Reno, Nev.; a nephew, Gary Bel of Spokane; and several cousins.
Larry Christensen Spokane
Visitation for Larry A. Christensen, 53, will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Service is planned for 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Christensen died Tuesday from cancer.
He graduated from Rogers High School, and worked at Utter Cadillac. He later worked as a process technician at Hollister Stier for 12 years.
Survivors include his mother, Muriel Christensen, a brother, Lloyd Christensen, and two sisters, Cheryl and Janet Bonnett, all of Spokane.
