North Idaho Teachers Get Certifications
Fifteen North Idaho teachers recently earned certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
In total, 117 Idaho teachers successfully completed the rigorous program, ranking the state eighth in the nation.
This is the highest professional credential for teachers and establishes high standards for what accomplished teachers should know and be able to do, the Idaho Education Association said.
“We are extremely proud of these hard-working and knowledgeable teachers,” IEA President Robin Nettinga said.
The following area teachers earned certification:
Boundary County: Tama Bergstrand, Wendy Seley and Judy Wagers.
Coeur d’Alene: Barbara Crow, Nancy Mueller, Andrea Partington, N. Lynne Peters, J. Michelle Faurcher-Sharples, Charlene Sourcy and Elizabeth E. Wright.
Lakeland: Elizabeth Fox, Kathy Gray, Elaine Tobin and Colleen Vyleta.
St. Maries: Laurie Martin.
