100 Area Athletes Enter Winter Games

About 100 local athletes are expected to compete in the Regional Winter Special Olympic Games at Schweitzer Mountain in January.

Competing there will make them eligible to compete in the Idaho State Winter Games, held Feb. 26-28, also at Schweitzer.

Special Olympics Idaho provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 1,600 adults and children with developmental disabilities throughout the state, at no charge.

Volunteers and sponsors are still welcome for both the regional and state events. For more information, call Kelly Calimlim at (800) 234-3658.
