Raffle To Benefit Students’ Trip

Raffle tickets to help send middle school students to Washington, D.C., will be sold until 5 p.m. today, when the winners will be drawn at Coldwater Creek’s downtown store.

Sen. Shawn Keough will do the honors for the raffle, which is raising money to send Sandpoint Middle School Students to the nation’s capital for a four-day tour during spring break, sponsored by American Student Travel.

The $3 tickets purchase a chance to win smoked turkeys, smoked hams, tickets for Schweitzer Mountain and Silverwood Theme Park, and other prizes. The proceeds will help offset the $1,500 it costs each student to go.

A spaghetti dinner is scheduled for Jan. 13 at Sandpoint Middle School. For more information, contact Kim Keaton at the school.
