Citizen Sought For City Council

From Staff

City officials are now accepting names for an open council position.

Former Mayor Bill Moe was recalled in November. Pete Troglia, the council’s president, is now serving as the city’s mayor pro tem.

Applicants must be registered voters and must have lived within the city of Spirit Lake for the past 30 days. The council meets one night a month. Whoever is appointed will have to run for the position in November 2001 if they want to retain the seat. The compensation is $50 per month. Council members participate in the Idaho State Retirement System.

To apply, send name, address, phone number and a resume to City Hall, 409 Main Street, Spirit Lake.

Applicants will be interviewed by the City Council.

For more information, call Troglia at 623-2131.
