Heritage Trust Awards 43 Grants
The city of Arco’s recreation hall will get new windows while the First Methodist Church in Moscow is planning work on its stone exterior.
These are two projects under way as part of 43 grants awarded throughout the state. The Idaho Heritage Trust awarded $167,600 in grants this week to preserve Idaho’s historic structures. The money will be used for several purposes, including restorations, renovations, repairs and feasibility studies.
In September the trust passed Glade Creek Camp of Lewis and Clark to the Department of Parks and Recreation as a gift to the people of Idaho. It was valued at $263,000.
The trust was founded in 1989 by the Idaho Centennial Foundation. Its assets - from state and private contributions - were over $4 million during the last fiscal year.
