Rathdrum To Discuss Rail Crossing

City Council members will meet today for a workshop to discuss improvements to Mill Street’s railroad crossing.

The plan includes allowing only a right turn onto state Highway 53 after crossing the tracks, eliminating Mill Street’s left-turn lane.

The special workshop was scheduled after several council members expressed concern with details of Rathdrum’s downtown improvement plans.

The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. The public is welcome to comment on the issue.
