Sketch Released In Store Robbery

From Staff Reports

Coeur d’Alene police have released a sketch of a robber who held up a convenience store on Dec. 18.

An employee at Gittel’s Grocery, 1201 Government Way, told police the man ran into the store shortly after 5 p.m. and began yelling at a customer to get on the floor.

The man then pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded she open the cash register, police reports said. The clerk told police she gave the robber all of the money she could grab out of the till.

The robber fled on foot and was last seen heading west.

The man was described as white, about 20 years old, 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, with blond hair and a blond goatee. He was wearing a green U.S. Army jacket and a gray or light green ski hat.

Anyone with more information is asked to call the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at (208) 769-2320.
