Louise Crandell Sandpoint
Visitation for Louise Crandell, 95, will be today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint. Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint.
Mrs. Crandell, who was born in Pineville, Ky., died Sunday.
She married Kenneth Crandell in 1925, and they lived in Custer, S.D., before moving to Sandpoint in 1936.
Mrs. Crandell had worked as an Avon sales representative for 23 years and earned the Queen of Avon title three times for sales performance.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include two sons, Doyle Crandell of Sandpoint and Dennis Crandell of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Beverly Morrison of Moyie Springs, Idaho; a brother, Ammon Minter of Massillon, Ohio; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Emma Wycoff Spokane
Service for Emma M. Wycoff, 90, will be at 1 p.m. today at Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wycoff, who was born in Leland, Idaho, died Sunday.
She moved to Mount Hope in 1912 and to Mica in 1920.
Mrs. Wycoff worked at the Mica Hotel before marrying Cecil Wycoff in 1926 and then moved to Spokane.
She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Her husband died in 1984.
Survivors include a daughter, Rose Carman of Spokane; a brother, Henry Peters of Coeur d’Alene; two sisters, Martha Morton of Willows, Calif., and Marie Mansur of Maxwell, Calif.; five grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Wilbert Douvia Colville, Wash.
Service for Wilbert C. Douvia, 88, will be at 11 a.m. today at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville. Burial will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville.
Mr. Douvia, who was born in Aurora, Ill., died Friday.
His family moved to Colville in 1935 and farmed in the Echo Valley area.
In 1940 he married Jean Dodge.
Mr. Douvia worked at the Cel Shout Mill before working for Colmac. He was a sheet metal worker at Colmac for 15 years and retired in 1976.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Douvia of Colbert; a daughter, Phyllis Waller of San Diego; three brothers, Earl Douvia of Colville, Charles Douvia of Seattle and Leonard Douvia of Missoula; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
Thomas Stephenson Osburn, Idaho
Viewing for Thomas Lee Stephenson, 76, will be from 7-8:30 p.m. today at Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Service is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Kellogg. Burial will be at Nine Mile Cemetery in Wallace.
Mr. Stephenson, who was born in Wallace, died Friday.
He graduated in 1942 from Wallace High School. He then served with the Army as a cook and in the military police in Europe during World War II.
Mr. Stephenson attended Farragut Junior College near Bayview, Idaho, after his military service and then completed police officer training.
In 1949 he became a police officer for the city of Wallace. He moved to San Rafael, Calif., in 1951, where he was assistant police chief and later the head of the detective division.
Mr. Stephenson returned to the Silver Valley in 1984. He had served as chairman of the Osburn Library Board and was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Kellogg.
His wife of 32 years, Helen, died in 1983.
He married Paula Ellis in 1985.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Garda Cuthbert of Osburn; four stepchildren, Laura, Paul, David and Susan Pettengill; two brothers, Donald Stephenson of Kingston, Idaho, and Owen Stephenson of Rathdrum, Idaho; a sister, Bernice Paullin of Spokane; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Tony Herman Medical Lake
Visitation for Tony B. Herman, 70, will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Service will be follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Herman, who died Monday, was born in Bantry, N.D.
He was a 32-year Medical Lake resident.
Mr. Herman worked for the City of Spokane.
His wife preceded him in death.
Survivors include three stepsons, Lowell and Dewey Peterson, both of Spokane, and Van Petersen of Medicine Hat, Alberta; three brothers, Victor and Darwin Herman, both of Seattle, and Darrel Herman of Federal Way, Wash.; three sisters, Marcella Lublin of Moses Lake, Wiletta Bruesch of Towner, N.D., and Caroline Thom of Ray, N.D.; and one grandchild.
Anna Geyer Spokane
No service will be held for Anna Geyer, 84. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Geyer, 84, died Tuesday.
She was a lifetime Spokane resident and a homemaker.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan James of Pickerington, Ohio.
George Gierke Spokane
Vigil service for George Gierke, 83, will be at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Ronan, Mont., Mr. Gierke died Friday.
His family moved to Spokane when he was 8 years old.
He married Maxine Henry in 1941.
Mr. Gierke was an electrician for more than 40 years at Rod’s Electric.
He was a member of the Flathead Indian Tribe, American Bowling Association, Eagles Lodge and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He also was a member of the Inland Empire Softball Hall of Fame.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Timothy Gierke of Wilmington, Del.; a sister, Della Rockstrom of Spokane; and four grandchildren.

Donna (Pontius) Johnson Greenbluff
Visitation for Donna Mae (Pontius) Johnson, 67, will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Peone Prairie Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson, who was born in Long Prairie, Minn., died Saturday.
She graduated from high school in 1950 and married Derald Johnson.
They moved to Spokane in 1955.
Mrs. Johnson worked at the Town and Country Restaurant for 14 years. The family moved to Greenbluff in 1969 and operated the Greenbluff Store for four years.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Wayne and Randy Johnson; a daughter, Rita Hubler; a brother, David Pontius; two sisters, Jan Thorud and Virginia Beach; two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.

Kenneth `Buzz’ Holland Spokane
Service for Kenneth G. “Buzz” Holland, 76, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Springfield, S.D., Mr. Holland died Sunday.
His family moved to Spokane when he was a child.
He married Valera Couey in 1943.
Mr. Holland served in the Army during World War II in the Timberwolves Infantry in France and Germany. He received a Bronze Star.
He worked at Safway Supply for 40 years, retiring in 1986.
Mr. Holland was a member of Ironworkers Local Union 14 and the Eagles Lodge.
His wife died in 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Dan and Doug Holland, both of Spokane; two daughters, Barbara Elliott and Virginia Erickson, both of Spokane; a sister, Virginia Marquardt of Spokane; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Izetta Christofferson Spokane
Service for Izetta M. Christofferson, a longtime Spokane resident, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Born in Hunters, Wash., Mrs. Christofferson died Saturday. She was 90.
Her family moved to Spokane in 1917, and she graduated in 1929 from Lewis and Clark High School.
She worked at Newberry’s in downtown Spokane from 1932 to 1938. She later worked at Dodson’s Jewelers from 1942 to 1968.
Mrs. Christofferson was a member of Liberty Park United Methodist Church.
Her husband of 39 years, Roy, died in 1971.
Survivors include a son, Roy Christofferson, and a daughter, Zenetta Coykendall, both of Spokane; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mikel Everett Spokane
Memorial service for Mikel O. Everett, 45, is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home.
Mr. Everett, who was born in Spokane, died Sunday.
He was a 35-year Spokane resident and was an equipment operator at Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood for 26 years.
He was a scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troops 485 and 430.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Mary; two sons, Matt Everett of Spokane and Mark Everett of Seattle; his mother, Doris Everett of Spokane; four brothers and two sisters.

Martha `Madge’ Garratt Spokane
Visitation for Martha M. “Madge” Garratt, 76, will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Garratt, who was born in Edderton, Scotland, died Thursday.
She was a homemaker and a 48-year Spokane resident.
Her husband, Delbert, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Steven Garratt; a daughter, Bonnie Ramey; three sisters, Alice Holmes, Margaret MacKintosh and Christina McKenzie; and a brother, Donald Ross.
Ronald Gude Spokane
No service will be held for Ronald C. Gude, 60. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.s A 10-year Spokane resident, Mr. Gude died Jan. 25. He was born in Baltimore.
He served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964, and worked as a locomotive engineer for the Old Milwaukee, Burlington Northern and Washington Central railroads.
Survivors include a son, Perry Gude, and two daughters, Kellie Eggers and Deanna Gude, all of Spokane; and five grandchildren.
