Berger To Run For County Job

The president of the Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association has announced he will run for Kootenai County Commission.

Merlin Berger, owner of Frame of Mind Custom Frame Shop and Gallery, has lived in the area since 1972.

As currently written, term limits will end the tenure of commissioners Dick Panabaker and Dick Compton.

Berger said he will work to protect and enhance the quality of life for all county residents.

“I am not an expert on all the issues. I am not a professional politician, but I do know how to listen to people, research the facts and make decisions,” he said.
