Area Residents Complete Basic Military Training
Several Inland Northwest residents have recently made military news. They are:
Air Force Airman Benjamin G. Bowers graduated from basic military training at Laclkand Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Bowers is the son of Elaine Cullen and Alan Bowers, both of Chattaroy. He is a 1998 graduate of Riverside High School in Elk.
Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jason A. Reid graduated from basic military training in San Antonio, Texas.
Reid is the son of Michelle Daggett and Tim Reid, both of Spokane.
Air Force Airman Jennifer D. Sparks graduated from basic military training in San Antonio, Texas.
Sparks is the daughter of Darrell and Kristina Sparks, Spokane, and a 1999 graduate of Rogers High School.
Jim Roeber has been installed as the national educational officer of the U.S. Power Squadrons, the world’s largest nonprofit boating education organization.
Vice Cmdr. Roeber has served as chairman of many national committees and helps conduct public boating classes.
A resident of Spokane since 1978, Roeber owns Northwest Properties Realty.
