Ecumenical discourse planned
Inland Northwest religious leaders are invited to the first Ecumenical Table Talk forum, sponsored by the Spokane Council of Ecumenical Ministries, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the COG student-union cafeteria at Gonzaga University.
Discussion will feature Bishop William Skylstad of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Spokane and the Rev. Flora Bowers, district superintendent of the Pacific Northwest United Methodist Conference.

Youths will fast
More than 150 young people from seven area churches will participate in World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine Friday and next Saturday. The event starts at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church, 1523 W. Mallon.
Youths will be working on 17 service projects next Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Area organizations to benefit include the Union Gospel Mission, Habitat for Humanity, City Gate, Teen Aid, Omega House and Our Place.
World Vision is a nonprofit Christian relief organization.
The 30 Hour Famine, now in its ninth year, involves thousands of young people around the country in a fast. It’s designed to help them learn about global hunger while raising money to buy food for needy people around the world.
Dance workshops scheduled
The Messianic Jewish Fellowship of Spokane is planning dance workshops over the next two months in preparation for its annual Passover Seder on April 19. The weekly sessions begin next Saturday and will run from 6 to 8 p.m. each Saturday through April 15.
Workshops will focus on dances for songs that are part of the fellowship’s weekly Shabbat worship services. The songs and dances will also be a part of the Seder celebration.
The sessions will at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 10814 E. Broadway. A donation of $2 per person per evening is requested.

Dinner will aid Lutherhaven
Camp Lutherhaven is sponsoring its annual spaghetti dinner fund raiser on Monday. The meal will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Bingo Hall, 930 N. Monroe.
Suggested donation is $5 per person, or $15 per family. Proceeds will help fund summer camp scholarships.
