Mike Feiler, the managing editor of the Coeur d’Alene Press, has been named publisher and editor of The Post Falls Press.

In announcing the appointment in Friday’s editions, Hagadone Communications President Tom Kurdy said Feiler’s leadership skills and 20-year background in community journalism will keep the fledgling daily newspaper growing. It began publishing a daily edition 21 months ago.

Feiler succeeds Lila Horvath, who will be the new advertising director for the Post Falls paper. The dailies in Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene are both owned by businessman Duane Hagadone.

After serving as managing editor of the South Idaho Press in Burley during the 1980s, Feiler was named city editor at the Coeur d’Alene Press in 1990 and was promoted to managing editor in 1994.
