Rev. Mark Wheeler, pastor of Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church, 4449 N. Nevada, Spokane. Background: Wheeler, 38, has been at the Lidgerwood church for five years. Previously he served at a church in Tacoma for five years.

He attended Fuller Theological Seminary for a short time and then graduated with a master of divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 1989.

Wheeler is a member of the Hillyard Lions Club as well as several local pastors groups, including the Hillyard Area Pastors Prayer Group.

Personal: Wheeler and his wife, Jennifer, have been married 15 years and have three children: Caitlin, 10, Brianna, 8, and Andrew, 6. Jennifer works as a tutor for the Mead School District.
