Banquet Features Nussmeier

Former Idaho and NFL quarterback Doug Nussmeier will be the guest speaker at the Vandals’ football banquet on Jan. 14 at the University Inn-Best Western in Moscow. The social begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7. Cost is $25.

Bowling for ratings

Last week’s Crucial.com Humanitarian Bowl received the highest rating ever for a college football bowl game televised on ESPN2.

The Boise State-Louisville game from BSU’s Bronco Stadium received a 1.6 rating. Last year’s Idaho-Southern Miss Humanitarian Bowl showdown drew a 1.1 rating. The inaugural HumBowl, matching Cincinnati and Utah State, had a 0.8 rating.

Tipoff times changed

Idaho’s men’s basketball game times against Pacific on Jan. 15 and North Texas on Feb. 19 have been changed to accommodate television in southern Idaho.

Both games will begin at 2:30 p.m. instead of 7.
