Cheney Puts Away Cda Down Stretch
Cheney’s outside game and Coeur d’Alene’s inside game led to Wednesday night’s 55-48 Border League boys basketball decision at Coeur d’Alene that went Cheney’s way.
Rhett Humphrey and Shon Volk combined for seven 3-pointers and Cheney hit 7 of 11 3-point attempts in the first half to build a 12-point lead.
The Vikings rallied to within four points in the fourth quarter, but Sam Conley picked up a technical foul for slapping the backboard on a Cheney basket. Cheney added two free throws, was awarded the ball out of bounds, and salted away the win.

Zach Hinsdale scored seven of his season-high 22 points in the pivotal third quarter and added a team-best eight rebounds to lead the visiting Greyhounds over the Maniacs.
The lead changed in the third quarter, when Pullman hit 8 of 14 from the floor while Orofino was 1 of 5. Pullman finished 20 of 49 from the field, led by Hinsdale’s 8-for-14 night, and hit 19 of 29 free throws.
