Armed Man Robs Convenience Store

A 19-year-old man with a semiautomatic handgun robbed a Coeur d’Alene convenience store Saturday morning, police said.

A clerk at the Big Y Travel Plaza, 2301 Sherman Ave., gave the man an undisclosed amount of money at about 9:30 a.m. before the robber rode away on a bicycle, police said.

A suspect carrying the handgun and the cash was later arrested. Police did not identify the man.
