New faces:

Larry Shintani has joined Wells Fargo’s Business Banking Group as a business lending officer in the Spokane area. He is responsible for serving the financial needs of businesses that have annual sales of up to $10 million. Shintani is a 22-year veteran of the financial services industry. He began his career with First Interstate Bank as a commercial loan officer. He later worked for the Spokane Railway Credit Union, Washington Trust Bank and Cherry Creek Mortgage. Shintani earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Washington University.

William R. Basom has been named vice president/treasurer of Sterling Savings Bank. Basom most recently was senior vice president and chief financial officer for Citizens Community Bank in Pocatello, Idaho. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including stints with US Bancorp in Portland and West One Bancorp in Boise. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration-accounting from Idaho State University and attended the Graduate School of Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin.

Jonathan Neill has joined the law firm of Eymann, Allison, Hunter & Jones P.S. as an associate. Neill received a bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University and a law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law. His area of practice will be general business law and litigation.

Spokane Structures Inc. has hired Rolfe Will as a sales representative. Will, a graduate of the University of Washington, has more than two years of experience in designing and marketing post frame buildings in the region. He previously was the Eastern Washington territory manager for the National Federation of Independent Business.

Cindy T. Finke has been hired by Dr. William F. Corell as an adult nurse practitioner in the specialty of holistic and preventive medicine. She most recently worked for Drs. Gordon Decker and Hershel Zellman at Deaconess Medical Building. Finke has 15 years of critical care nursing experience and has been a nurse practitioner since 1992.

Rhonda L. Pace has joined the accounting firm of McDirmid, Mikkelsen & Secrest as a para-professional. She previously was with Phelps & Woodhead Inc.

Heather Lewis has moved back to the Spokane area and rejoined Personnel Unlimited Executive Search as an executive recruiter managing and specializing in office administration.

The accounting firm of Moss Adams LLP has added the following people to its staff:

Patricia Gamache joined the firm as a manager in the Retirement Plan Consulting Group. Her duties include retirement plan consulting and plan administration. She previously was with the Principal Financial Group in Spokane as a senior titled administrator. She is certified as an accredited pension administrator by the National Institution of Pension Administration and is designated as a chartered life underwriter by the American College. Gamache earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University and holds teaching certification from the University of Washington.

Loretta Ruppert was hired as a software consultant and manager for the Time Management Systems Group. She has 11 years of experience with an emphasis in the legal industry. Ruppert previously owned her own corporation in Alaska, where she provided accounting and software consulting to clients. She graduated from the University of Alaska.

Moving up:

Brian Madison has been named a partner at Leffel, Otis and Warwick, an accounting firm with full-time offices in Davenport, Odessa, Wilbur and Ritzville. Madison joined the firm more than five years ago and works primarily with family farms and ag-based businesses. He previously worked as assistant manager of Wilson Creek Union Grain and Trading Co. and as manager of Lamont Grain Growers. Madison earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Eastern Washington University and became a certified public accountant in 1993.

Washington Trust Bank has promoted the following people to retail banking officer:

Kim Mattos is the service manager at the bank’s Medical Center Branch. Mattos, who joined Washington Trust in 1995, has more than eight years of banking experience.

Delena Smith is the acting branch manager at the bank’s NorthTown branch. She has nearly 13 years of banking experience, the last nine at Washington Trust.

Elected:

The Inland Empire Chapter of the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals has elected the following officers for the year 2000: President, Chris Haase, Clyde Haase Landscape; vice president, Jerry Coats, Highland Landscape Construction; secretary, Kelly Enders, Mutual Materials Co.; and treasurer, Todd Kemick, Horizon Irrigation. Dave Brown of Land Expressions was named president-elect for 2001.

AIA Spokane, a chapter of the American Institute of Architects, has elected the following officers: President, Glen A Cloninger, principal of Glen A. Cloninger & Associates; vice president/president-elect, Gary D. Joralemon, principal, Integrus Architecture P.S.; secretary, Sue Lani Madsen, principal, Madsen Mitchell Everson & Conrad pllc; and treasurer, Keith Ballantyne, principal, Wolfe Ballantyne Studio Architects. Directors are: Douglas Heyamoto, Northwest Architectural Co.; Charles Horgan, Bernardo-Wills Architects PC; Steven A. Meek and Donald E.
