Donations Collected For Wounded Woman
Local businesses are collecting money to pay medical expenses for a woman who was accidentally shot on July 7.
Tara LaCella, a 20-year-old from Post Falls, is listed in fair condition at Kootenai Medical Center. She was moved from KMC’s intensive care unit to the hospital’s orthopedic/neurosciences unit this week.
LaCella’s family announced this week that several businesses and banks have started funds to help defray medical costs.
Funds have been established in LaCella’s name at Bank of America, First Security and Mountain West. Donation jars have been set up at Super 1 Foods and Tidyman’s.
Also, a charity golf tournament has been scheduled for July 30 at Twin Lakes Village. For information, call 687-1311.
