Reno Will Address Spokane Conference
U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno is scheduled to be in Spokane next Monday to address the National District Attorneys Association summer conference.
The conference theme is geared to presentations and panel discussions on preventing and dealing with crimes committed by children.
The keynote address is scheduled to be delivered by author Robin Karr-Morse, who wrote the book, “Ghosts from the Nursery.”
Washington State Attorney General Christine Gregoire is scheduled to deliver the luncheon address on Monday.
District Attorney Alexander Hunter, of Boulder, Colo., who handled the JonBenet Ramsey investigation, also is scheduled to speak on Tuesday.
A panel discussion set for Thursday is entitled, “911, Someone’s Shooting in Our School.” Panel participants will include a prosecutor, an educator, a journalist and a victim.
The National District Attorneys Association is the nation’s largest and primary organization of prosecuting attorneys.
It will mark its 50th anniversary with the Spokane conference, to be held at the West Coast Hotel.
