Women’S West Meeting At WSU

Washington State University will host the fifth Womens’ West Conference on its Pullman campus Thursday through next Sunday.

Several events will be open to the public, including a historical performance called “Sacagawea Speaks” at 7 p.m. Thursday in Todd Auditorium. The enactment will be performed by historian Jeanne Eder. Readings by author Mary Clearman Blew and Janet Campbell Hale will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, also in Todd Auditorium.

The Anthropology Museum in College Hall will showcase the exhibit “Still Singing,” works by Pacific Northwest Native American women artists. Several quilts will be on display in Holland Library as part of the “Quilting Western Women’s History” exhibit. Three are more than a century old, with the oldest completed in 1847.
