Duties: Manage sales staff, place dress orders and do inventory control. She helps keep things running smoothly at a shop with at least 300 formal dresses, 100 informal dresses and 200 dresses for bridesmaids and mothers.

Experience: 12 years at the store.

Pay: Staffers earn $7 to $13 an hour depending on experience.

Best part: “Working with the bride. I get to help each person find their dream dress.”

Why she stays at the business: “Because I like the place I work and the person I work for.”

Challenge: Doing everything possible to get a bride the dress she wants in the time she wants it.

Her own wedding: “I did it in two and a half months.” ” `It helped to know the business around here.”
