Spit In Cop’S Burger May Have Been A Hoax

From Staff

Police have closed a case investigating three Post Falls High School students who were allegedly involved in spitting in an officer’s hamburger last week.

The two girls and one boy all passed polygraph tests, which seems to indicate that they lied about spitting in the officer’s food, Capt. Jim Simmerman said.

A Post Falls officer allegedly pulled through the Burger King restaurant’s drive-through at 4202 W. Expo Parkway around 7 p.m. June 4.

A student told a teacher at Post Falls High School that one of the employees - also a student - spat on the officer’s food. The police department’s school resources’ officer overheard the conversation.
