The best animal film since “Babe,” Nick Park and Peter Lord’s “Chicken Run” is a claymation blend of “The Great Escape” and “Watership Down.” Touching, inspiring and thoroughly entertaining, it proves that, “Monty Python” aside, British humor does play to mainstream American audiences.
