Washington Couple Jailed

A Washington couple is in jail following arrests on grand theft and drug trafficking charges.

Benjamin Johnson, 30, of Bremerton and Linda Ellen Hedt, 48, or Port Orchard were arrested at Lake RV Park in Ponderay after a Ponderay motel owner complained of a theft from the Chalet Motel. The owner identified a motor home as belonging to the suspects.

When Ponderay Police and members of the Sundance Drug Task Force investigated the motor home, they found the suspects, as well as 15 stolen credit cards, nearly seven ounces of marijuana and more than 28 grams of cocaine.

Magistrate Judge Debra Heise set bail at $100,000 each.
